Over the years it has sporadically appeared on the deck lid of 911's and generally signified a more powerful engine, bigger brakes and improved suspension. It made a full time return to the Porsche lineup with the introduction of the 997 Carrera S in 2005. These "S" models featured a 3.8L flat 6 engine producing 355 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. 2008 is the final production year of the 997.1 and features the factory upgraded, dual row IMS bearing.

This three owner Carrera S has a clean CARFAX and original body paint. Well equipped with an original MSRP of $95,870. It was purchased by the second owner as a Porsche Certified Pre-Owned vehicle in February 2012 at 35k miles. From that point until the current owners purchase the car was maintained by Niello Porsche and has complete records from that period to present day. The third owner purchased the car in August 2017 from their friend when he updated to a newer 911.
